I became a working mom in 2016, and my entire life changed. Up until I had my first daughter, I had been focused on advancing my career, completing my Master’s Degree in Business Administration, and volunteering in my local community.
I loved working hard. (I still do.) I also loved the thought of starting a family with my husband and becoming a mom.
My life up until this point had stressful moments and challenges, but nothing compared to the stress, overwhelm, and guilt that came along with being a working mom.
In 2018, after I returned to my corporate job when my second maternity leave ended, I quickly realized that something had to change. I didn’t want to step back or out of the workforce because I loved my career and financially contributing to my family. But, the way I felt day after day wasn’t healthy or sustainable.
Rather than changing my job, I made a commitment to myself and my family. I dedicated a year of my life (while still working full-time) to studying the connection between our thoughts and feelings and deepening my understanding of human emotions. Along the way, I applied what I was learning to myself, and I became a dual-certified life coach.
It would be an understatement to say that I was shocked by my own transformation.
In March 2020, I gave birth to my third daughter. It was during a time of chaos and fear in the world, but I now knew how to keep myself calm and focused. I knew how to navigate uncertainty and minimize stress and anxiety. Everything I had learned over the past year was put to the test. And, it worked.
While on my third maternity leave, I started my private coaching business, working exclusively with working moms. After returning to my corporate job in 2021, I continued to virtually coach my working mom clients around the globe. The thought of navigating working full-time in a corporate job, running a coaching business, and raising three young children used to seem impossible. Instead, it’s not only manageable, but also completely fulfilling.
I am committed to being an example of what is possible for all working moms who aspire to be stress-free and guilt-free too.
When you’re ready, I would love to help you too.
